How it works
Weekly pay = regular hours × basic rate + overtime hours × basic rate × overtime multiplier.
A worked example
At £15 an hour, 37.5 regular hours and 5 overtime hours at time-and-a-half gives £675 gross pay for the week.
What to keep in mind
Gross-pay estimate assuming the same hours every week. Check your contract because overtime eligibility, qualifying hours and premiums vary by employer.
A common question
What multiplier should I use for time-and-a-half?
