How it works
Annual gross pay = hourly rate × paid hours each week × paid weeks each year.
A worked example
£15 an hour for 37.5 hours across 52 paid weeks gives £29,250 gross pay a year.
What to keep in mind
Assumes the same paid hours and rate throughout the year. Excludes overtime premiums, bonuses, unpaid leave, tax, pension and other deductions.
A common question
Does this include unpaid holiday or time off?
Only if you reduce the paid weeks or weekly hours to reflect it. The result is based entirely on the paid time entered.
