How it works
Undergraduate repayment = 9% of pay above the plan threshold. Postgraduate repayment = 6% of pay above £21,000.
A worked example
At £35,000, Plan 2 gives an annual repayment estimate of £505.35 before payroll rounding.
What to keep in mind
2026/27 annualised estimate. Payroll deductions use the pay-period threshold and rounding rules, so payslips may differ. This does not model loan interest, balances, refunds, overseas rules or voluntary repayments.
A common question
Can undergraduate and postgraduate deductions apply together?
Yes. Select your undergraduate plan and choose postgraduate loan. The estimates are calculated separately and then combined.
